JFC Technologies Makes Investment in Eikos, Inc.

Underscoring its commitment to specialty materials development, New Jersey based JFC Technologies today announced its equity investment in Eikos, Inc. of Franklin, Massachusetts.

"This investment provides Eikos with capital needed to advance its various research and development projects aimed at creating specialty materials for military and aerospace applications," says Jamie Schleck, JFC's President and CEO. "We have tremendous confidence in the Eikos technology platform and its management team. With this investment, JFC is in an excellent position to both assist with these programs, and to be a manufacturing partner for these materials once they are developed."

JFC Technologies is a researcher, developer and manufacturer of pharmaceutical ingredients and applied materials. The firm is privately held and has been headquartered in Bound Brook NJ for the past 30 years - JFC has additional manufacturing facilities in Hyderabad India and Ningbo China. Under the terms of the deal, Jamie Schleck will sit on the Board of Directors of Eikos.

Eikos, a materials science company founded in 1996, has developed a proprietary position in the rapidly emerging field of carbon nanotube dispersions for use as conductive polymers in EMI Shielding and Transparent Conductive Coatings applications. Eikos also develops and manufactures a family of specialty polymeric materials for applications requiring high temperature performance.
