JFC TECHNOLOGIES, LLC EARNS ISO 9001:2000 CERTIFICATION
(Bound Brook, NJ) JFC Technologies, LLC ("JFC"), a researcher, developer and manufacturer of pharmaceutical ingredients and applied materials, today announced that it has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification from BSI, Inc., a quality management systems registrar.
The ISO 9001:2000 standard is an internationally recognized quality management system standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). ISO 9001:2000 specifies requirements for a quality management system aimed at helping organizations achieve customer satisfaction and continual improvement. This is demonstrated through ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements, as well as enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the ISO system, including processes for continual
improvement and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements. In order for a company to measure and ensure customer satisfaction, it must conduct regular customer surveys to obtain quantitative data relating to the performance of the company as well as its products.
To be certified to the standard, companies must implement a quality management system (QMS) embracing the activities of the company from staff training to taking the instruction from the customer, the design and development of products, the purchasing of materials and services and the delivery of the products and services. This is done using Plan-Do-Check-Act principles and Process Management, demonstrating steps taken to provide customers the services pledged by JFC. Certification to ISO 9001:2000 reinforces to customers through an independent third-party that JFC operates a QMS in accordance with the standard.

JFC began its registration process in August of 2004. As part of the ISO 9001 process, BSI performed on-site assessments, examined JFC's documented procedures, and audited its overall operations. To determine continued compliance with ISO 9001:2000, BSI will periodically conduct routine surveillance audits of JFC's business operations.
